Indo’s new single “My Head” was recently dubbed ‘Track of the Day’ by Insomniac’s Soundcloud channel, and for good reason. The L.A. based producer has been striving for his music career from the early age of 7. He started making his own songs while taking piano lessons, which lead him to guitar and he started to play with bands who opened for big rock groups such as Cartel, Chiodos, and Fall of Troy. But it wasn’t too long after these successes that the underground dance scene in Oakland pulled him in. He moved to pursue his new found passion and come 2012 he won the grand prize to play for Nocturnal Wonderland after winning Insomniac Event’s Discovery Project. Since then he has released a bunch of tracks spanning over labels across the globe, including Ultra, Interscope, and Bomb Squad. He’s played major festivals ever since, like EDC Las Vegas, Euphoria, and Beyond Wonderland to name a few.
This track is sure to hit the top 100 list on Beatport like some of his other tracks, “Waiting”, “Renegade”, and “Shine”. “My Head” puts you in another state of mind, starting off with a dark, melodic build and then he drops powerful, raw bass. Throughout he continues to lift you up, creating an interesting blend between dark glitch, moombahton beats and electro melodies. The new single represents his recently created Get Lifted Movement. The lyrics echo out, “Can I stay in my head”, a nod towards the movement’s foundation of staying true to his vision and what he wants to do as an artist, a theme that he encourages to all his fans. This track is available for free download as well as on Spotify, Soundcloud, and iTunes. We encourage you to #GetLifted.
