Exclusive Interview
2021 has been an explosive year for you, what has been your favorite moment so far?
2021 has been a very fun year for sure, feels like just the beginning. It’s hard to pick just one… I would have to say my two favorite moments have been performing on the main stage at Electric Zoo and also seeing Tiësto play my song “Feelings After Dark” with Michael Calfan & NISHA on the same stage later in the day. Felt like a full circle moment!
What was your reaction the moment you found out ‘Count You In’ was getting signed to Spinnin’ Records?
It was honestly a very validating moment. I love to make music, so to have that stamp of approval from an iconic dance label like Spinnin’ was really cool. I’m really excited for all my upcoming originals and can’t for everybody to hear all of the new music to come.
Musical Freedom was also a label you debuted on this year, did you get a chance to talk to Tiësto?
I did! We have been talking this year virtually, but I ended up getting to chat with Tijs for a while before his set at Electric Zoo. He told me how much he loves “Feelings After Dark” and how he’s still been playing it live, which is an awesome feeling, especially seeing the crowd still loving it as much as they do!
What advice would you give to rising producers to achieve big success parameters like you have recently?
I would say that you really have to put in the time, and also just make music that you like. Don’t try and copy whats trendy at the moment, just make what makes you happy to listen to.
What does the future hold for HARBER that you can currently reveal?
I have a few big collabs coming in 2022 that I am super stoked for everyone to hear and a bunch of upcoming shows, some announced and some being announced soon!
