Jordan & Jayce are living proof of how acting on a small moment of inspiration can take you great places. Jordan Smetana, who has been producing since the late 2000s, introduced his old high school buddy, Corey Jayce Stengel, to the then new “Hey Now (Skrillex Remix).” The song motivated the two to form Jordan & Jayce. “Our intention is just to create music we love and hope that other people enjoy it as much as we do,” Jordon explains, “I showed him the Skrillex track and that was the point where we decided to start making electronic music together.”
Their latest original “Komodo” stands out for several reasons; the drop is powerful and unexpected, but the style is still contemporary and easy to relate to. Jordon tells WRR: “With as pleasant as the [Komodo] melody is, we wanted to take a turn into something more fierce for the drop.”
