You might be asking yourself, does the world really need another addictive hit like “#Selfie.” Well, I’m not here to answer that question, I’m just here to inform you that it’s very possible that Delora’s “Hey Mami” could raise up to the caliber of The Chainsmokers’ breakthrough release.
Why do I think this? Well, the track is being held by, or at least considered by, Spinnin’ Records according to the SoundCloud hashtag and history of Delora releases. The only other record uploaded on their SoundCloud is an original tune, DVBBS & Joey Dale’s “Deja Vu,” which features the groups vocals. It’s also worth mentioning that the electronic dance music market could use another set of Nervo-esque DJs in the mix – which is another reason why I believe that Spinnin’ is looking to develop this duo.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Devyn & Kate De Loera’s single gets pushed into the ears of the mainstream dance music community. It has a funny, yet enslaving vocal hook mixed with dark party-rocking melodies and bass lines. I’m not saying it’s a great fit for the radio, but anything is possible.
WhiteRaverRafting has also been told that Spinnin’ Records is in the process of shooting and publishing a follow-up music video that will blow minds, in the craziest way. What do you think?
