Alright, alright, we know it was just yesterday when we were telling you about the Untold Exclusive Shows we’re looking forward to, but we wouldn’t do the festival justice if we didn’t tell you about the other things we’re looking forward to.
This year, Untold Festival is celebrating its fifth anniversary, so the stakes are high. Before we could even take a look at what’s happening in the park, where the fest takes place, we were interested to see what the warm-up party is like. Truly, it was a blast! With Tujamo as a DJ, participants had the chance to taste a bit of what Untold feels like a day before the actual fest.
Now, moving onto the following days. This year there are 10 stages, more than ever. Mainstage, Galaxy and Alchemy are already fans favourites from last year, alongside Daydreaming, Forest, Time,Earth Spirits and (one of our personal favourites) Tram Stage. This year marks the debut of Nostalgia and Fortune Stages. We haven’t been there yet, but we’re more than eager to take a look.
We’ve told you before about the artists performing, but here’s a summary: David Guetta, Bastille, Busta Rhymes, Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Steve Aoki, Nicky Romero, Boris Bredcha, Elax, Solomun, Borgore, ATB and over 150 others. If you’re not joining the fest this year, no worries. Some of the biggest acts will be live on Untold’s Facebook page, so head over there to see each day’s schedule.
So, to cut to the chase? What are we expecting from this year’s edition? Although the forecast includes a few raindrops here and there, keeping in mind that this is an anniversary edition, we expect A LOT. The line-up itself is already pretty packed, and we’ve already talked about the exclusive shows, but there’s more to a fest than just names on a poster. We’re looking forward to seeing organizers taking a step up when it comes to decor. This time the theme is Codex of Magic, so we should see books and a bit of all the elements we’ve already experienced: magic, colour, wolves and maybe even some dragons. The Food Court was everything you could hope for last year (well except, you know, festival prices) and there’s no reason to think this time it will be otherwise. The atmosphere should be on point and if the few raindrops we’ve mentioned before don’t turn into thunderstorms, we’re good to go.
One more thing to mention is the increased security. In a world were, unfortunately, disasters happen on a daily basis, it’s good to know that the fest will be a safe zone. In fact, it will probably be the safest place in Cluj-Napoca these days. Oh, and did we mention last year we got to pet a police dog?
All in all, we hope Untold will rise to expectations and we’ll have a great time in Cluj-Napoca these days. Now, let’s get our raincoats and head to the park. See you at Untold!
