Jack Beats have finally come out of a long hibernation and for that we are greatful. Yesterday their ‘Careless’ EP was released through Skrillex’s OWSLA record label. It is clear that Sonny Moore has a eye for talent, this 7-track mini-album stars the Scottish duo and features collaborations with many big name electric dance music artists. Dillon Francis, Diplo, Example, and Takura all make appearances on the EP’s track list.
‘Epidemic’ featuring Dillon Francis was one of the tunes on the EP that caught my ear. The mixture of electro house and moombaton is seriously mind blowing. As the track progresses you can hear a little of each artists style. The vocal sample is the classic work of Francis and reminds me a lot of his ‘Music Is Dead‘ record with Dr. P. After only a couple of full length play throughs the ‘Careless’ EP has quickly become one of my favorite releases this year.
