A classic, minimal, electric piano welcomes us to this warm deep house track. jackLNDN, known for his vocally driven sound blending cinematic and textural landscapes certainly delivers on just that with this single from his upcoming EP of the same name.
After his album Thoughts last year, jackLNDN set out on another journey for this EP, Deeper. “What does it mean to get to know someone on a deep level in this day and age? Can we do it better? How do you capture that feeling and deliver it in terms of sonics?” These questions where the driving force behind the exploration we are listening too.
This song is funky and smooth. Reminiscent of London’s own Jazz Clubs, which jackLNDN spent a good amount of time in. It’s clear intimacy is the intention behind the track with the delicate performance and treatment of the vocals by the artist.
While the track is clearly alluding to something sensual, the act suggested is never clearly spoken. It teases you and invites you to go further into the track. It’s urging you to truly discover what he means by Deeper.
While the questions being asked by the artist for this album are impossible to truly answer, we sure think he gets close. We are eagerly awaiting for the release of the EP and look forward to going Deeper with jackLNDN’s Deeper.
