There has been a lot going down in the ATL, from festivals taking over the city’s famous parks like Shaky Beats and Music Midtown, to concert venues playing host to some of the biggest names in EDM, to local artists putting in work to bring the electronic scene to life. We’ve been keeping an eye out for releases from some of our favorites and Jax is back with another incredible single on SoundCloud, “Serenity”. Jax has held our attention at local house events like his residency at HOT: On Tuesdays and Odyssey After Events.
“Serenity” is a four and a half minute escape into an old school house dream with thumping bass and crisp four to the floor taking us adrift. We find ourselves in house heaven after the long build drops us into a floating cloud of wavering synths and punching rhythms. Jax delivers on a smooth production style and is quickly growing with how he marries the sounds together perfectly. “Serenity” is a definite nod to the classic renditions of the genre and we can’t help ourselves from going back for more.
