AC Slater Remixes Jhene Aiko’s “The Vapors” [Free Download]

It’s been a while since I’ve heard anything from Trouble and Bass’ AC Slater, but I am certainly glad he has re-entered the blogosphere! Slater offers up a new remix of the beautiful Jhene Aiko’s “The Vapors”, an atmospheric ode to pining for lost love on her “Sail Out” EP. In his remix, AC Slater adds a brash, grimey bassline that works well to contrast Aiko’s polished vocals. My favorite part of AC Slater’s music has always been his ability to create build-ups so drawn out that the listener quite literally goes apeshit for the drop.

Although this song is sonically somber, AC Slater has created a remix that will make you forget about what’s-her-name and dance around your living room. The song is now available for free as a christmas present from Slater, so make sure to grab that after you take a listen below:
