Many of our music lovers might know the awesome R&B single ‘This Is How We Do It’ by Montell Jordan from the 90’s. Today Dutch DJ Joe Stone has given it an uptempo beat and mixed the single into a classic house version. “The Party” is a track full of old school energy and many aspects of the original single are included in the music as well as in the video clip.
The single starts off as a good house rhythm with Montell Jordan’s voice remixed through the beat, continuing into some warm, melodic tunes. The funky vocals are sped up and mixed into the very danceable and groovy rhythm, which gives the exciting feeling that the clip displays. The new video is almost a replica of the original, turning into our modern take of the 90s. It’s a video full of celebration and dancing, with a choreography also based on the old clip.
Joe Stone has showed that he is capable of properly remixing such a hit and turned it into his own smasher. “The Party” (This Is How We Do It) is available now via Spinnin’ Records.
