Marshmello was the hottest mystery artist of 2015, now going on ’16. Today, he dropped his debut album Joytime, containing many unheard songs that the world is now bouncing to.
“Joytime” is is also the same name of the collective that Marshmello has been teasing through his socials and adding onto his download gates.
Bloggers have speculated that the artist is most likely Dotcom, but the jury is still out.
What makes Marshmello unique and ironic among the handful of anonymous artists (and there’s more than you think post-Zhu) is that he/she is a highly social anonymous artist, not just communicating frequently with fans, but posting long, meaningful messages at times as well.
