Justin Jay is a loose cannon ready to explode. The 22-year-old producer is in his last semester at USC and has fostered his career with huge accomplishments already, such as a groovy set at HARD Summer and an upcoming EP release on Catz ‘n Dogz’s Pets Recordings imprint. To keep fueling the fire of anticipation, Justin Jay has decided to start off 2015 without holding anything back and recently debuted his newest remix of Disciples’ “They Don’t Know” on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1.
As Annie Mac puts it, Justin Jay takes Disciples’ original “somewhere dark” with a tech/deep house hybrid spin. The promising producer eerily brews screeching bass oscillations with haunting pad work to take listeners on a slow drive before unleashing the core of the track. His finesse in the studio allows his true craftiness to shine as he drags every element of “They Don’t Know” into a midnight abyss.
