Juuku adds his own flavor to the Banks original “Under The Table.” The single stands tall on it’s own, yet after Juuku gets a hold of it a wide range of color and life are injected back into the track. The intro hints that the track may have a future bass side, which eventually lands smooth and strong on the first drop. The vibe takes an epic turn as the bridge blends in a few classic elements leading to fulfilling second drop. Juuku has shared that he always puts 100% into what’s released, “under the table (juuku flip)” reflects this undoubtedly.
Not much is known about Juuku as this remix is his debut, but one aspect that’s certain is his desire to include deep meaning in his music. He recently shared a quote about personal moments that are built into the remix:
My grandpa died in 2008, and my grandma never was able to reconcile things with him. she felt so horrible and let it all out during the funeral about how she should’ve fixed things. she died 2 years ago and this song represents their reunion with each other and their search for each other in another world/afterlife, with the entire song themeing with hesitation and representing their bittersweet, yet hopefully reconcilable reunion.” – Juuku
