“Leaving,” has that aura of a ‘closer/ending’ track by construction and key-choice, in some intrinsic ways. A sentimental mood is shared through soft percussion, preaching-passionate cut-up vocal samples, and the clever drop designs that are gradual. The combo speaks volumes and gives that allure which the solo electronic musician doesn’t leave out.
First releasing originals and remixes on his own, now signing releases more regularly with established West-Coast label Moving Castle, the work put in is certainly paying off for juuku.
His genre focus is something that the USA and broader electronic scene is familiar with, generally involving melodic trap and future bass leaning sounds. Yet, it’s the particular infectious spin-per-release that juuku is able to perpetually deliver that seems to play into the draw.
Still very anonymous, the move gravitates all the attention to the sought-after and highly-discussed discography – juuku is playing his cards right to say the least.
