juuku, SSOS, And NEWYON Deliver Monstrous Bass Anthem, ‘Lockup

Constantly pushing the limits of genre and sound, juuku has gained a large following for his musical creativity and experimentation. Now, he is breaking the mold once again with his brand-new single, “Lockup”. Calling upon Vancouver-based producer SSOS and Swedish rap star NEWYON, these three innovative artists combine their skill sets to forge this one-of-a-kind anthem.

Starting off with celestial echoing effects, “Lockup” quickly introduces NEWYON’s hypnotic lyrical flow. As he spits heavy verses of grime vocals, NEWYON is accompanied by layers of cinematic synths that expand in intensity. Leading into the drop, all hell breaks loose. SSOS and juuku collab to drop haymakers of trap and bass onto their audience. Altogether, “Lockup” is an original piece that is primed for mosh-pitting and headbanging at festivals.

Enlightening us on his perspective of “Lockup” juuku explains, “this track is about me digging deeper into the darker side of my music alongside one of my favorite producers right now: SSOS.” You can expect to see much more of this thrilling side from juuku due to the fact that “Lockup” stems from his forthcoming inaugural EP, Lavender Dreams & Scarlet Nightmares. With his release party for this Dim Mak Records project at the end of the month, juuku is ready to strap listeners in on his auditory rollercoaster.
