Bonnaroo in 2017 was filled with killer moments from an early morning Umphreys Mcgee set, to the restoration of the RooChute, and the second ever festival performance from U2 of the Joshua Tree in its entirety. Besides all of these magical events, the farm felt a little empty and we could not place our finger on why, until the wee hours of the morning when there was no Kalliope performance to be found.
Bonnaroo 2018 will feel complete once more as the Kalliope stage will be restored to its former glory. The trial year without it felt empt, like the whole family did not show up and the experience was not complete. The Roovians spoke up and now the late night magic of Centeroo will be back in full force. Kalliope over the years has hosted big names such as Skrillex, Mija, Odesza, and even Cherub. The magic of Kalliope stems from the lack of schedule; you never know who will drop in, who will spin until the early hours of the morning, or what kind of fireworks/pyrotechnics you may get the chance to behold.
Thankfully, this year’s Bonnaroo will be full of magic once again with the farm family complete. You can snag Tier 3 tickets for the festival here, but act fast as the ticket prices will only continue to go up and June will be here before you know it.
