Kandy is teaming up with a new company called MetaPop that streamlines the remix approval process. Until now, bedroom producers essentially have to cold email a manager and cross their fingers for a response, let alone approval, or risk strikes on their SoundCloud and/or YouTube accounts – even if you have VIP account on the side for unofficials, who wants to throw away all those plays that helped you grow and can be used as leverage? No one.
MetaPop changes all that, guaranteeing communication regarding remix inquires. Kandy joined the companies founder, Matthew Adell, creating a video that gives a sneak peak into the company, reveals more clues about an upcoming “Art Of Remixing” release, and makes Kandy look like a baller as he’s in a studio deep grind montage using his own music.
I’m pretty stoked to see what MetaPop will bring us. Thousands of producers will need it, whether they know it or not.
