The Daily Beast reported this epic groundbreaking news in a recent article that dropped today regarding his set at HARD Summer Festival in LA. From winning Grammys to producing music with the most talked about artist in hip hop right now, massive moves have been made. As far as electronic music goes, this is huge. Skrillex is taking strides, directing a manifest destiny of his own as he climbs the ladder as one of the most renowned and recognized artists throughout any genre. For those of you who hate his mainstream mantra, I say shame on you.
Time will only tell and for now we can only imagine the results which birthed from these two industry monsters putting their heads together. One thing is for sure – If Kanye is taking notice, the rest of the shunned world will soon follow suit.
Don’t be fooled…this isn’t Kanye’s first stride towards exposing dance music to the hearts of the hip hop faithful. West personally curated the talent for Budweiser’s ‘Made In America Festival’, which lands Skrillex on the bill. Savoy, Alesso, DJ Shadow, and The Knocks will also join a touted lineup of carefully crafted talent. Dance music is knocking on the doors of millions.
