Karma Fields has already impressed us with the New Age Dark Age album, and now we’re blown away again with a full length album video that matches the complexity and intriguing sounds they’re known and loved for. Their ability to put a creative twist of visuals with their music is something that is not seen very often. Straying away from the typical music video, Karma Fields has brought us something unique and powerful.
Collaborating with world renowned visual artist, Raven Kwok, Karma Fields incorporates 3D mapping techniques to bring the visually pleasing aesthetics. While keeping with a simple black and white scheme the mix of geometric shapes and lines molded together, to match the music, takes something, that individually might be simple to the eye, and forms something complex that can only be described as out of this world.
A personal favorite are the graphics that match Karma Fields “Skyline.” What first reminds me of sitting in science class, looking at blood cells under a microscope, the “cells” move together to form a visual of a face only to continue to multiply and mesmerize. The mapping continues to create full human shapes as well as lyrics as the video continues leaving you with only one thought. “Wow.”
