Kaskade’s new album Atmosphere will be released through September 10 through Ultra Records. Atmosphere will follow up 2011’s Fire and Ice and be Kaskade’s 10th full length release.
We’re eagerly anticipating to see what way Kaskade production style goes on the album. Dance music is without question bigger than ever before and as someone so invested in the scene, he can help control where it goes from here.
Kaskade to inthemix,
“I think it has a little bit of everything; it’s very diverse,” says Kaskade, aka Ryan Raddon, of his eighth studio album. “If I was to squash Fire & Ice into a single rather than a double album, it might have sounded like this.”
The album’s debut single “Atmosphere” marks the first time Kaskade has chosen to use his own vocals on the the track. Will we see more of that? Or will there be familiar vocals provided by the likes of Skylar Grey, Rebecca & Fiona or Mindy Gledhill? Their additions to Fire and Ice were powerful and moving, we’ll see if he chooses to go the same direction again.
Others have pointed to Kaskade’s Redux Tour as the basis for Atmosphere, proving a need to get back to the basics, the beginning. Often sounds in the simplest, purest form are best. When you think about where he came from, Kaskade leading the deep house renaissance in America doesn’t seem like such a far-fetched idea.
