The fans voted and have decided that Kaskade is America’s Best DJ. Winning the award for the second time, Kaskade thanked his fans saying, “I am constantly in awe of the love, encouragement and energy I receive from my fan-base, which has continued to inspire and motivate me throughout my career.”
Diplo took second place while Skrillex placed third. Interesting considering both have done very few solo shows during 2013. The rest of the standings in numerical order include; Bassnectar, Porter Robinson, Steve Aoki, A-Trak, Wolfgang Gartner, Z-Trip and DJ Vice. Pretty Lights must have forgotten to tell the Pretty Lights Family to vote.
Presented by DJ Times magazine and Pioneer DJ, this is the 8th time they’ve given out the award. While it is prestigious, it holds little weight in the international setting especially when compared to the DJ Mag top 100.
Last year’s winner was Markus Schulz.
