K?d has been generating waves throughout the electronic sphere with his impressive originals and star studded collaborations on such tracks as “Fourth Impact” with Rezz which was met with huge support and can regularly be heard during techno and tech house sets. The dark, gritty track is everything we’d expect when you throw the two into the production room. In addition, LA based producer Nick Pittsinger aka Varien has also been catapulting through the electronic world. His daft punk-esque release, “Mutiny” was released not long ago and was met with massive reception. Rezz, k?d, and Varien all possess a dark production side that is illuminated in every release. One could speculate that it’s only a matter of time before the three collaborate on a track…
That may have to wait, however the next best thing has just landed on our doorstep and it’s a culmination of k?d and Varien’s natural production ability. “Catherine” is the fast paced, bass driven track that has been blowing up since its release. If you’re looking to feel the beat and truly engulf yourself in the song then it’s best listened to on the big speakers. The track draws elements from multiple genres and attests to k?d and Varien’s natural talent when producing. Expect to hear it all over the festival circuit this summer.
