On the top of my funksoulelectro board right now is Kill Paris, the LA native previously featured on the blog. Honestly, I can’t put a finger on any particulars, but something about his sound is both unique and worthy of notable applaud.
The way Kill Paris mends this Player ‘Baby Come Back‘ sample into a seamless soulectro-groove is naturally exoteric and remains a prime example for his addition to the OWSLA Tour we recently announced. I’m waiting for the haters to ring in with the “omg really…Player?” jabs…and then there are the rest of us who respect good music for what it truly is, regardless of the genre.
