Providing some sunshine on a chilly autumnal day is Max + Johann, the Berlin based dance act with an eye for making excellent, electronic-inspired beats. Having secured endless plays on their original and remix works, they now deliver “Bette Davis Eyes,” a current update on the 80s hit single.
There is no doubt that this duo can produce memorable tracks, and they do so with this release in fine style. Not losing any of the special energy that the vocals provide, they have enlisted Pearl Andersson to serve up new vocals – and those softly spoken tones lend themselves brilliantly to a cascading backdrop of whispering twinkles and melodic nuances.
