With their last release being their Haunted House EP last May, Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, who comprise the UK-based duo, Knife Party, have recently dropped some long-awaited details for their forthcoming album, which they claim to be “Coming to a whatever near you, whenever we finish it.”
Renowned for their outspokenness on social media about the lack of originality in the industry today, fans should definitely be waiting in fervent anticipation to hear what they have come up with, which will undoubtedly break free from the mould of music we are used to hearing repeatedly. Having kept fairly quiet about the album over the past couple weeks (except for having divulged that they would be aiming to finish it during the moth of May), Knife Party has announced that the LP, which will be titled Abandon Ship, will consist of 12 tracks; 9 confirmed, in addition to 5 “in the maybe pile”, and 5 that are still in the “idea stage” with only two weeks left until mastering.
