HugLife has put a sick trap spin on Knife Party’s “LRAD,” but the style of the drop, that’s a different conversation. There’s been a shift in the dynamic of “the drop” in a lot of recent big room electro-house records, and “LRAD” is a perfect example of what I mean. This “new sounding” drop is clean, unpredictable, and more or less a jungle-style drum being pounded, in tempo. I’ve been hearing this sound slowly take form in the past month or so, and I LOVE it.
HugLife does to “LRAD” what HeRoBust did to “Internet Friends,” the experience of both trap remixes is just good as the originals, but heavier. HugLife is one of many to take on remixing tracks from Knife Party’s latest EP “Haunted House,” “LRAD” being one of the more common choices. He separates his remix by reaching equilibrium, he doesn’t over-complicate or under-do it, he tweaks the highlights to make his outstanding sound.
