Knife Party has been M.I.A. outside of playing a festival here and there over the past 4 years, leaving fans to wonder if they will release new music before the decade is over. So, what have the Aussie duo been up to? While they have been concocting their next project in secret, the boys have been busy in the podcast world with KNIFECAST now going on it’s 13th episode. Since the beginning, Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen were content about avoiding interviews and focusing on production. Now, fans can get a look behind the curtain and really get to know them while also enjoying their special guests such as: Jauz, Sub Focus, Kill the Noise, Muzzy, and Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine. You can check out the latest episode here.
Swire and McGrillen haven’t put out a banger since their Trigger Warning EP in 2015, but now fans can rejoice in their return to the studio. After recently completing their tour leg in Asia, some fans have gotten a taste of the new release, including Martin Garrix’s EDC Las Vegas set where he teased out one of the four tracks, “Lost Souls”. You can check out the rest of their tour dates below.
Upcoming Tour Dates:
July 20th – Bass Academy, Seattle, USA
July 26th – Air Festival, Czech Republic
August 10th – Dreambeach Villaricos, Spain
August 16th – FM4 Frequency Festival, Austria
August 17th – Alfa Future Festival, Russia
Their new EP, Lost Souls, has four tracks, ranging from big room house vibes of “No Saint” and the dance floor burning “Death and Desire” featuring Harrison, to the monstrous dubstep of “Lost Souls” that reminds us of Lost Lands (if you know, you know) and some off-kilter techno for good measure with “Ghost Train”.
You can stream Knife Party’s Lost Souls EP on Spotify and SoundCloud now. Be sure to stay up to date on their socials as some Halloween appearances may be in the future.
