Since discovering Kygo a few months ago on Soundcloud, I haven’t been able to stop listening – much like the rest of the Internet. Kygo is a 22-year-old producer out of Norway, and he has been blowing up in recent months. We’ve followed his rise, and over the weekend, he was a guest DJ on Diplo & Friends. The mix is about an hour-long and absolutely groovy, featuring remixes from the Bixel Boys, Neus, Thomas Jack, Jerry Folk, Oliver Nelson and the X Ambassadors, but where it shines is truly in Kygo’s remixes.
He has a light and airy sound that even in the more upbeat songs is peaceful and harmonious. Check out the track below, and if you’re planning to be in NYC June 20th, maybe check out his American debut at Webster Hall.
