Daniel Goldstein, AKA Lane 8 is seemingly unstoppable. After the phenomenal success of Root to Branch Vol. 1, the first release on his very own label, This Never Happened, and a massively successful sophomore album, Little by Little, Lane 8 presents his continued gift to house music, Root to Branch Vol. 2.
It’s the second compilation album in the Root to Branch series, featuring three lesser known artist, showcasing two of their skillfully mastered tunes. Whether you know, or have heard their names or not, their tracks and sound are undeniable, and fit perfectly into the scheme of music Lane 8 has come to make popular within his following.
Ukrainian producer Avoure teams up on “Let Me” with Lane 8, not only marking his first release on This Never Happened, but also his first release as an artist, ever. Vol. 2 also features the Washington DC based DJ and producer Enamour, who has not only remixed tracks by Lane 8, but also came off select dates on the Little by Little tour with Lane 8 himself.
Finally, Vol. 2 features Solanca, another producer Lane 8 pulled seemingly, yet deservingly, our of thin air. Each artist is given two tracks, just as Vol. 1, to showcase their talents, and it is certainly a winning formula that we can’t wait to hear the next volumes of.
