The Laneway Festival, an Australian promotion, will be hosting a 2013 event in either the United States of Canada. Laneway Festival would be the first ever to move from Australia to North American market.
There were seven Laneway Festivals this year in Singapore, Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. The one-day events host an indie heavy lineup with bands like Of Monsters and Men, Japandroids and Yeasayer playing the Perth show. A hipsters paradise.
If you thought that music festivals were just “popping up everywhere” you’re probably right. An Australian festival coming to the United States is a clear indication of that.
