Lavid has teamed up with one of our favorite pop-electro talents, filous, to bring us his latest single “BURN.” The man behind the music project is German-based producer, Emanuel Bender. He first started off his love affair with the electronic genre with his dubstep project Drift Static back in 2013. His remixes reached over a million listeners, his biggest tracks include his remix of Awolnation’s “Sail” and Monster and Men’s “Dirty Paws.” His new project under the moniker, Lavid, is definitely a change of pace, but so far his execution is on point. It’s easy to see what drew filous and Bender together, with both artists being self-taught multi-instrumentalists. Bender also studied film-music composition and did several producing workshops to really master his sound.
Diving into the song itself, Lavid expertly blends light pop melodies with Klei’s smooth vocals. He gently builds us up to the drop, and we glide on through the chorus. There is a playful back and forth with the warm synths and bubbly beat. We can really see how his knowledge of mixing shines through with this track with all the elements fusing together with ease. “BURN” will leave you feeling warm and floating like those perfect sunny days.
