Known as the “global ambassador of house music,” Pete Tong announced he will release a new album encompassing the past three decade electronic dance music.
With 60 of the most sentimental songs on the new record, Tong said that now is the perfect time to reflect on the music that people have grooved to for decades.
“Now seems the right time to have a look back over this phenomenal history, and remember where we were when we first heard these life-changing anthems,” Tong told Mix Magazine. “The music hasn’t gone away and its influences have only spread further, with the sound crossing over into almost any genre you’ll hear in 2013. From the groundbreaking and pioneering old school legends, to the equally innovative sound of today’s stars, this is my brief history of the incredible movement
that is known as house music.”
This compilation will be timeless. A release date to be announced soon.
