There’s nothing like gothic chants in a bass song to give it that extra edge. “Shred” by Lektrique fits into the bass world, sort of on the line between commercial dubustep and trendy trap-dubstep hybrids. During multiple listens, the sound design itself impacted me like few things I have heard before; as if a lot of time was taken crafting it, also, the arrangement and pop elements strongly stood out in this one.
Clearly, this is far from Lektrique first release, with over 20K followers on SoundCloud alone and a mature, evolved sound with good direction, Lektriqu is on the path of sustained momentum for the long run. Props to Kannibalen Records for locking this one in.
