This project, produced in collaboration with his brother Yiani Treweke, is Dysphemic’s fourth album. It features a selection of tracks all with a tribal bass driven aura and influences of Arabic world bass, guitar, and keyboard.
“This release sees the two brothers find influence from their families Egyptian Greek roots and their psychedelic upbringing in the Australian Blue Mountains to create a soundtrack of an ancient future”
A number of different stylistic influences are utilized, with the first track “Peyote Demon” running with a punching bass line and racing string focused melody. The next track “Desert Hawk” embodies the traditional drumstep feel, then transitioning into a more tribal trap vibe with the next track “Primate”. The album culminates with the final track “Journey” that really gives the listener a window into the vastness of the Blue Mountains in which the brothers were raised. Aspects such as fluid Mediterranean guitar intro that then opens up into the cinematic melody when the bass kicks in allow the listener to close their eyes and transport themselves into the massive natural beauty in which this album represents.
