To ring in 2018, Dallas, Texas hosted the 8th annual Lights All Night which sold-out with 30,000 total attendees across two days. The vibe was undeniably cheerful as you sped through the quick and painless security check, everyone wanted to get out of the below freezing weather so the process ran quicker than usual.
The entrance to the arena was set up with the main stage located to the left. Vendors, coat check, and food trucks located to the right and in the back corner an entrance to the side stage. The security was fabulous keeping all the traffic, which with a sold-out event was massive, in a nice clockwise motion.

The first night was highlighted with a banging house set from up and coming Australia native Wongo, a stunning live set from Ookay that had the whole crowd singing along, a DJ set from Illenium that even through a few technical difficulties was all people could talk about, a Worlds/Shelter DJ set from Porter Robinson that almost brought Dallas Market Hall down, and a finale of Bassnectar dazzling us with some tracks from his new Reflective album concluding the first night.

The whole crowd on day two had this electrifying energy because not only was it the day before New Year’s Eve it was also the final day of the festival. LED toys flew in the air as guests moved around Dallas Market Hall in an unsettled buzz. The Mikes Hard Lemonade stand had a mechanical disco shark that guests lined up to get flung off of. The GloFX booth was selling all kinds of LED glasses and gloves, so no matter where you looked there were “Lights All Night.”

On day two Tokimonsta shared her amazing love of music through a dazzling set that kept everyone’s attention, Nghtmre trapped it out, Maxo Kream a Houston, Texas native brought some diversity with his exceptional rap flow, the chill was brought back in the room with Seven Lions set that made all your hairs stand up, and the epic grand finale was coordinated by the one and only Marshmello. Balloons were flying, lasers in abundance, fog, streamers, and a “dance all night” attitude from the crowd made his set shine.
