By now almost everyone is familiar with “Like Satellites,” the latest hit from progressive house legends Manufactured Superstars. In addition to the original mix, the duo has also commissioned a few remixes as well. The first remix, done by Mike Candys, was released on November 28th, and the next remix to be released on is from Exodus and Sephano & Torio on December 9th.
Like the original, this remix is very progressive-influenced, but with a heavier bass line and more of a big room feel to it. What I like the most about it is that it doesn’t try to do too much. The original mix of “Like Satellites” is a simple, melody-driven track, and often times the remixes of these types of tracks try to take that sound and make it into something it’s not.
Exodus, Sephano & Torio did an excellent job taking what the original mix gave them and reworking it to create a track that’s different, while at the same time incorporating many of the elements of the original. Overall, it’s a very well-put-together remix, and we’re looking forward to these three working together on future collaborations.
