Ever since I started listening to electronic dance music I’ve wondered why no producers have teamed up with Linkin Park. I don’t know what took so long, but I’m glad that Steve Aoki stepped up to the plate. A few weeks ago we uploaded a live recording of their “A Light That Never Comes” collaboration and this week I’m pleased to share an official video teaser. Although it’s short, it does it’s job by hyping up the track in preparation for it’s official release.
This teaser has made a run through the electronic community for all of the wrong reasons. If you haven’t heard; at 0:23 seconds, in the video, you can see a synth software known as Sylenth being used on Aoki’s computer. It’s been confirmed via Reddit that that specific software was pirated due to the “Team ArCADE” tag on it.
Yes, we know that Steve Aoki should have properly paid for it. However what’s done is done and although he has more or less outed himself, we don’t really care. I’m sure Aoki is paying the price as we speak, but let’s not let this blip take away from their brilliant collaboration.
