Two trends I’ve been seeing in the commercial bass world: producers continue to find new inventive ways to express the classic robotic/futuristicness sound, being one, and this old-school 90’s intense house synth (like in Getter and Ghastly’s “666”) being explored as a new melody approach, being the other. I.Y.F.F.E X Dirt Monkey boast both of these elements, dynamically and infectiously, via their latest release “Little Gurl”.
Released on Uprise Music, “Little Gurl” is I.Y.F.F.E’s 3rd release on the label. The soloist from Brazil is almost at 20K following and has million of plays to his name – his number speak for themselves and solidify the fact that bass music is evolving and he is right on the next wave.
