Veteran mixologist Loco Dice recently had an interview for his forthcoming compilation, where he spoke a little on big stages vs. small intimate clubs.

I need to go back to the little clubs. And you played in venues that you never played before and it’s amazing. The sound sometimes was a catastrophe…disaster. It’ll pull you back into way back in time. You have to deal with that.

For many of the world’s high demand DJs the struggle is not real. It’s enlightening to hear that Loco recognizes the fact that small, intimate shows are just as important for the artist as they are to the fans.

Making it a point to show small venues love indefinitely creates something unique and necessary for dance music. Kaskade’s recent Redux Tour was the perfect example that catering to a smaller, more refined audience can generate an experience unlike any festival.
