As has been the trend with our current global situation, global festival Lollapalooza is the latest event to make the transition to virtual content. Featuring both previous and new live sets, they are offering a wide range of content across a multitude of genres, to be streamed exclusively on YouTube over the course of four days. They are also benefiting some awesome causes such as Arts for Illinois Relief Fund, Equal Justice Initiative, and When We All Vote. Tune in starting this Thursday, July 30th through Sunday August 2nd.
In the EDM realm, we see a number of notable acts, some with intriguing twists. Alison Wonderland is bringing us a live set, and while the flyer doesn’t say so, the G Jones b2b Eprom set is rumored to be something special. Chicago natives Louis the Child are billed as “Watching Paint Dry”, so that should be interesting, to say the least. Marc Rebillet always brings something crazy with his comedic style, definitely don’t miss that one. Other notable names in EDM include CloZee, Elohim, Kaskade, NGHTMRE, Whipped Cream, ZHU, and more.
Think you have what it takes to be dubbed the first ever “Mayor of Lollapalloza”? Check out the contest here for the chance to win a pair of platinum tickets for 2021 and a brand new CAR!
Be on the lookout for a more detailed lineup including set times, scheduled to drop sometime on Wednesday. While we are unable to gather together and enjoy music at this time, the virtual realm will have to suffice.
