Freddy Kennett and Robby Hauldren are the Chicago natives that make up the electronic based duo, Louis The Child. These young producers are still in their teens and have played at clubs and festivals all over the country. Their sound can be described as something that’s a mix of bass, future, and melodic. When asked what their sound was in an interview with Run The Trap, the duo commented “your guess is as good as ours”.
In an industry of mass saturation, LTC has perfected their craft and their career has taken off as a result. Currently having several tracks with well over a million plays on SoundCloud, it’s no surprise that LTC have been the talk of 2016. They’re fresh off their Coachella performance at the Sahara tent that attracted a massive crowd. So far in 2016, Snapchat named LTC among its top three EDM artists to watch in 2016. They also came in at number one on MixMag’s “Eight Artists Taking American Dance Music to the Next Level in 2016”. The duo would go on to gain even more notoriety after their single “It’s Strange” Ft. K. Flay was featured on Taylor Swift’s popular playlist, “New Songs That Will Make Your Life More Awesome”.
LTC is slated to perform Sunday of Lollapalooza from 4:00-4:45 in their home town, Chicago. This is their first Lollapalooza and a special one to make their inaugural. This Lollapalooza is different from previous ones in that its extended to four days to celebrate the 25th anniversary. Lollapalooza is bringing out a whopping eight stages and LTC will be taking over the Pepsi stage for their highly anticipated set.
What can be expected from LTC at Lollapalooza?
Similar to the fact that LTC has no specific genre, it’s very likely that’s how their live set will be as well. A diverse mix of future bass, house, and maybe even some trap, no one can say with 100% certainty what LTC will throw down. If you want a taste of their live sets, take a listen to their Coachella set that dominated the Sahara tent this year. The uncertainty surrounding what their set will be is makes LTC’s performance one you won’t want to miss come late July. If you’re looking to be amazed at Lollapalooza, consider checking out LTC on Sunday, July 31st from 4:00-4:45 at the Pepsi Stage. Let’s take a listen to some of LTC’s best tracks below. General admission tickets for Lollapalooza are sold out, however you can still buy VIP tickets here.
