Named as one of Rolling Stones Top 10 Acts to Watch this Year, Lookas is setting up for what is going to be a monstrous 2018. This self made Miami artist first arrived in the dance scene back in 2013 making his first remixes to “Tsunami” by DVBBS and Brogeous which led to an official release of the mix in 2014. This jumpstarted Lookas’s career gaining him worldwide exposure and numerous more opportunities to take his name to the next level.
His new EP Lucid contains three tracks all with a personality of their own. “Eclipse” was first released as a single keeping true to Lookas’s trap roots, using mechanized synth along with heaping sums of bass to give his fans exactly what they were asking for. Next, “Alarm” was a collaborative single with Krewella fusing the two artists sounds to create a melodic upbeat trap/pop track with incredible nostalgic vibes. Finally, “On My Own” was announced with the release of the EP. This future bass record featuring vocals from Able Heart is a perfect centralizer between the two above mentioned track, taking influence from both a heavy bass and more pop angle to close out the EP.
