Chicago-natives Robby and Freddy have formed one of the tightest electro-experimental groups to ever hit the scene: Louis The Child. Their sound and melodies flow like no other and the new EP, “Nothing Is Real,” shows these qualities and more through three breathtaking original tracks. The opening track, also entitled “Nothing Is Real,” showcases small elements of trance and glitch-hop threaded by an electro core. “Reckless” is a stand-out track with highly-experimental rhythms, melodies, and tempo; not seeming to fit any specific genre, but still a great ride. The last track “Someday, You’ll See” focuses on glitch-hop vibes blended with classic blues-pop verses, acting as a solid outro for the EP. Louis The Child’s “Nothing Is Real” is a refreshing reminder that music can be surprising no matter how “experienced” one may be.
