Louis Futon is one of those special artists where you don’t know exactly what type of sound he may surprise the world with next, but it always feels like him. He’s been in the game for many years now, breaking into the scene song by song somewhat after the future bass trend was buzzing through the electronic music scene. His music then embraced some elements of this trend, but he evolved well past it – his production/writing pallet that he could be expected to include today in a release literally feeling endless.
This time, he’s dropping 2 new tracks “Re-Up,” and “Amoeba,” alongside the previously released work, “Ron Burgundy.” Diversified is the term that jumps out at me the most across the new singles, “Re-Up,” embracing a hip-hop disposition alongside vocalist Armani White and Amoeba really getting experimental with a wild and wonky trap-influenced number.
The songs bring a balanced vibe when experienced together, Louis Futon once again hitting the nail on the head when it comes to him delivering on the goods.
Released on 4th Level Records, Re-Up EP is not something to be skipped over.
