Louis Vivet’s Powerful Take On Miike Snow’s “Silvia”

Why in the heck did nobody send this to me sooner?! I was listening to another track a friend sent me when Louis Vivet’s Silvia cover came on and made me melt in my seat. This is at the top of your absolutely-must-listen list, you hear me?

The bass in this track combined with Jordan Humphrey’s heartfelt topline, strings and the radiating synthwork creates a work of art that is absolutely mindblowing. There is just something powerful about the lyrics of Silvia, and wrapped around Louis Vivet’s production it is given a new deep, dark edge that calls one to consider the consequences of the heart. Louis Vivet hardens Miike Snow’s version five years after its release and reminds us why we love the work of the Swedish trio so much.

It is going to be a very long time before I can sufficiently get over this track.
