Colorado-based musicians Lucid Vision and Unlimited Gravity recently released their single, “Live Life In Pleasure.” Although this release was planned for a long time, no one could have planned for the protests that have recently amassed on a global scale. While police accountability was always a concern, citizens’ voices are being heard now and louder than ever before by official government, and actual change is starting.
It’s disheartening, but many people cannot live their life in pleasure. While some people feel comfort when police arrive to the scene, many people of color fear for their safety and their life. To aid the reform of police accountability and stop racial injustices through our legal system, Lucid Vision and Unlimited Gravity decided to dedicate their new single with a donation initiative with Mile High Sound Movement.
“It’s inspiring to be able to use our music for something more than just ourselves. We are dedicating our song release ‘Live Life in Pleasure’ to this donation initiative, not only because we feel passionate about the power of the people, but because this is what music is about… Music is about inspiring passion, connection, and synergy in the collective community.” – Lucid Vision
The donation initiative is currently live on GoFundMe, and it will run for one month before donating all proceeds. On top of this, Mile High Sound Movement will be donating 100% of Bandcamp sales to the National Police Accountability Project.
