With festival season drawing to a close Budweiser Made In America has a host of DJs who can satisfy your dance music jones Labor Day weekend in Philadelphia before summer is officially over.
Situated in a lineup composed primarily of hip hop and R&B, dance music at MIA will stand out in sound and sense. For fans of house music MIA has a legend in Claude Vonstroke and a pair of rising stars in Axwell and Ingrosso. Beyond these two are Santigold’s ethereal dance rhythms, Duke Dumont who always satisfies and Montreal’s Botnek, a pair of DJs who have been making tracks recently with Zedd and Snails. A-Trak, too, and his insane DJ skills are sure to set it off right at MIA.
For those who like to run the trap, as it were, GTA and DJ Mustard will be holding it down. But the biggest name of all has to be Bassnectar, one of the world’s best DJs whose music defies classification. Considering the context and the fact that he’ll be opening for Beyonce, we anticipate a special set from Bassnectar, perhaps with a healthy does of hip hop flavor.
On top of these fantastic DJs who know precisely how to start a dance party, Made In America will feature dozens of alt rock and hip hop performers. The juxtaposition of all these different performers is tantalizing, especially with summer’s end rapidly approaching.
So come get down next to Eakins Oval and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia this Labor Day weekend, September 5 & 6.
