After the debut album of Volume One, Magic Sword is back with another journey of Legend EP. For those unfamiliar, Magic Sword is a project from an anonymous music producer and comic illustrator, promising to combine the power of music and comics to tell the fantastic story of Magic Sword – a weapon of infinite power left to be guarded by an enigmatic character named The Keeper.
A little rock, a lot of house, and video game synths to boot, you can definitely feel the journey. From the “Legend of the Keeper” with its classic 80s gaming sound, to “Uprising” which makes you want to play Candy Crush until your fingers fall off, or “The Curse”, all three tracks exemplify a plight that must be taken care of.
This is only the first of a series of episodic EPs, where each will explain another chapter of The Keeper’s eternal battle. Look out for more to come.
