RR: Can you tell us a bit about your journey? When did your passion for music first surface?
Mahmut Orhan: It started when I was 17, I worked at a voice/sound studio in Bursa, Turkey. After that I started to have a real curiosity about DJ’ing and producing, so I started to learn the art of Dj’ing and I began producing music. I decided to make it a career because I love this job!
RR: “Save Me” feat. Eneli is enjoying a lot of success. How did you and Eneli end up working together?
Mahmut Orhan: It was a really great experience working with Eneli. I like Eneli’s voice so much and we really enjoyed working on this project together. I love her music and since working together we have become close friends.
RR: What was the inspiration behind the track?
Mahmut Orhan: I really wanted to make a track with an ethnical feel to it, it’s something which I do a lot with my tracks and I feel it always works really well. Working on ‘Save Me’ the vocal just felt right & the video was successful too.
RR: We absolutely loved the video! Where was it shot?
Mahmut Orhan: Cappadocia in central Turkey. It’s a famous tourist destination in Middle Anatolia, Nev?ehir City. They have the best balloon tours around, where you can see unbelievable scenery, and when the sun goes down there are some good places to drink some great wine!
RR: You played at Univibes Festival. The concept behind the festival is unique, a party inside the university. What were your thoughts about this when you were first invited there?
Mahmut Orhan: It was really amazing, I could feel the audiences’ energy during the performance, which is important to me. I love this place and I am always happy when I am asked to play in Romania.
RR: When it comes to new music, what can we expect?
Mahmut Orhan: I have some new projects coming soon. I am trying to make new music with fresh ideas that will get a good response from the listeners. They can expect to dance more and more.
RR:Is there something you would like to say to all the people who are listening to your music?
Mahmut Orhan: I love all of my fans and I will work hard to make music they can all really enjoy!
