Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve caught wind of the hit song by mega-stars Black Eyed Peas, Shakira, and David Guetta, known as “Don’t You Worry.” The single is still everywhere, enchanting listeners around the world with it’s catchy moments and on-point sound design. The mysterious electronic DJ/producer Malaa, known for throwing down some heavy and dark house beats, was tapped to bring about his own version of the track.
From the looks of it, he was up for the challenge – converting the pop tune in something cut up, tech-oriented, and all around fit for the club. The hypnotic house inclusion, in true Malaa form, is nothing short of sedating as it harmoniously collides with the elements of the “Don’t You Worry,” original. The new version essentially near-totally reconstructs the original, using a few samples in this version, which was a interesting angle to approach things with. Overall, the remix slaps and that is what matters.
“Don’t You Worry,” already had millions of streams behind connected to it’s story and a continuing flow of momentum that was surrounding it, now this is amplified more so with the talents of Malaa placed upon it.
